Health & Safety Policy

General Statement

It is the policy of Get Uniformed Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to take all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, contractors, visitors, and anyone affected by our operations. We are committed to complying with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards relating to occupational health and safety.

We will provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment to prevent injury, illness, and work-related hazards. We aim not only to meet statutory requirements but where possible to exceed them. We also commit to continually reviewing and improving our health and safety performance.


Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees, full-time, part-time, temporary or fixed-term.

  • Contractors and visitors entering our premises.

  • All operations and activities carried out under the GetUniformed.co.uk business, including design, production, storage, fulfilment, and delivery.


Our Commitments

To achieve our health and safety aims, Get Uniformed Ltd will:

  1. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
    Comply with all relevant UK health and safety legislation, regulations, and guidance.

  2. Risk Assessment & Control
    Carry out regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate hazards. Implement appropriate measures to eliminate or reduce risk, including safe systems of work.

  3. Safe Work Environment
    Ensure that our premises, plant, equipment, and facilities are safe, maintained, and fit for purpose. Provide safe access and egress.

  4. Information, Instruction & Training
    Provide employees, contractors, and relevant personnel with adequate information, instruction, supervision, and training to enable them to work safely and understand health and safety risks.

  5. Personal Responsibility
    Expect all employees, contractors, and visitors to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions. Report unsafe conditions or near misses, and follow safe working practices.

  6. Welfare Facilities
    Maintain adequate welfare facilities (e.g. toilets, rest areas) and ensure a safe, clean, and healthy working environment.

  7. Accident Reporting & Investigation
    All injuries, incidents, and near misses, however small, must be reported in a timely manner. We will investigate and record each incident to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence.

  8. Communication & Participation
    Promote open communication on health and safety matters at all levels. Encourage suggestions and feedback from employees. Ensure relevant health and safety information is accessible to all stakeholders.

  9. Continuous Improvement
    Regularly review health and safety policies, procedures, and performance. Make necessary adjustments in response to changes in legislation, feedback, incident findings, or changes to business operations.

Monitoring & Review

  • We will monitor and measure health and safety performance through inspections, audits, incident reports, and feedback.

  • This policy will be reviewed at least annually, or more often if necessary (for example if there is a significant change in operations, equipment, legislation, or following an incident).

  • Updates will be communicated to all employees, contractors, and relevant parties.
